COATING SPECIFICATIONS
QUARTZ EPOXY SYSTEM
"2 Year Limited Warranty"
We are pleased to quote the following cost for the preparation and coating of your concrete floor area. The following systems are as follows:
SURFACE PREPARATION
1.Entire new area to be diamond ground and\or shotblasted with a Blastrac shotblasting machine. The Blastrac shotblasting machine is designed to specifically reduce noticeable blast lines where other blasting equipment is not designed to do so. All coated area will be sanded and\or diamond ground prior to coating. Entire area to be magnetically swept to remove all spent shot.
2.Entire wall area to be hand ground.
3.Entire area to be swept and\or power blown prior to coating.
COATING SYSTEM THICKNESS
PRIME - Performance E-300P 100% epoxy primer with quartz broadcast
INTERMEDIATE - Performance E-300 100% solids epoxy with quartz broadcast
FINISH - Performance E-350 High Wear Chemical Resistant Epoxy Clear 3\32"
OPTIONAL: 2"- 6" quartz cove base.
NOTE:
Specified above is the best form (Cycloaliphatic Epoxy) of 100% solids epoxy for floor coating. This product will wear longer, offer better chemical resistance, resist yellowing better, resists sweating and cure harder than polyamide, aliphatic, amido-amine, etc. epoxies which have less performance qualities. To compare our E-350 with substandard products is not a fair comparison. Although we use to sell lesser quality epoxies for customers self installations, we will not install nor warranty them any longer. We estimate the costs and value at $.12 square foot additional dollar value for this type of epoxy over other substandard epoxy installations.
CRACK\EXPANSION JOINT\HOLE FILLING (INCLUDED)
We will fill the cracks and expansion joints with Performance Crack and Joint Filler.
NOTE:
Most competitors will not add crack\expansion joint\hole filling in their quote but make it an extra. Performance makes this a standard due to the fact that it will give you a better flooring system with a monolithic look. Cracks, expansion joints, and holes are more noticeable with a high gloss application. Debris will also imbed itself into these crevices if not patched. Please note that with the movement of concrete some cracks may re-appear (especially in expansion joints) but the coating will not peel from those areas and the crack usually are much less noticeable in these instances. We estimate the costs and value at $.11 square foot additional dollar value for this addition over other standard epoxy installations.
NON-SKID ADDITIVE (INCLUDED)
White aluminum oxide non-skid additive will be broadcast into the floor.
NOTE:
Some competitors will not add Non-Skid additive in their quote but make it an extra. Performance makes this a standard due to the fact that it will give you a safer floor system. We estimate the costs and value at $.03 square foot additional dollar value for this addition over other standard epoxy installations.
AISLE STRIPING- (OPTIONAL)
If you desire, we propose to tape off the floor and apply 20 mils of Performance E-350 High Wear Chemical Resistant Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Safety Yellow at an additional cost of $1.20 per linear ft. with a minimum of $300.00.
There is an additional charge for each separate mobilization to complete the job (requested by customer), to be determined.

WARRANTY
PERFORMANCE FLOOR COATING SYSTEMS, INC. (PFCS) SHALL WARRANTY ITS WORK AGAINST FLAKING AND PEELING FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR FROM THE INVOICE DATE PROVIDING THE JOB HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL TO TERMS. PFCS CANNOT WARRANTY AN EXISTING COATING ADHESION TO THE CONCRETE OR ANY WORK THAT WE HAVE NOT PERFORMED. THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO FLAKING OR CHIPPING COATINGS CAUSED AS A DIRECT RESULT OF PRODUCT FAILURE. THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF PFCS UNDER THIS WARRANTY WILL BE AT THE OPTION OF PFCS, TO PATCH FAILING AREA/AREAS OR RECOAT ALL COATED AREAS PFCS DEEMS ADVISABLE.
THE EXPRESS WARRANTIES SET FORTH IN THIS CONTRACT ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABLITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
CUSTOMER AGREES THAT ITS EXCLUSIVE REMEDIES, AND THE ENTIRE LIABILITY OF PFCS WITH RESPECT TO THE SPECIFIED FLOOR COATINGS, ARE SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT. PFCS WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO CUSTOMER FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING ANY LOST PROFITS OR OTHER INCIDENTIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OR ITS USE OF THE FLOOR COATING OR THE BREACH OF ANY WARRANTY.
CONDITIONS NOT WARRANTED
Hydrostatic pressure (Hydrostatic pressure is caused from moisture being present underneath the concrete slab. Hydrostatic pressure can cause blisters, bubbles and other effects in a resinous coating).
Sub-surface contaminants (Oil or other contaminants that can come up from within the concrete slab) could cause coating failure.
Deficient Concrete (concrete that breaks apart) and exhibits reduced integrity.
Non-skid will wear out over time and will need to be re-applied. Performance accepts no responsibility as to the time or amount of wearing. The customer is responsible to maintain its own safe limits for slip resistance throughout the life of the floor coating application.
